From first conversation to finished piece.
Every commission begins the same way: you tell us about your course, and we design something that belongs there. Here is what the process looks like, what we need from you, and what to expect along the way.
Five steps. One point of contact.
Reach out
Tell us about your course and what you have in mind. A short email or a contact form submission is all it takes. There is no minimum order, no commitment at this stage. We are simply learning about each other.
Consultation
We schedule a call or video meeting to learn about your course identity, your membership, and your operational needs. We discuss materials, style, quantities, placement, and any branding guidelines. This conversation shapes everything that follows.
Design development
We develop concepts tailored to your course: material selection, form, finish, and branding integration. You receive renderings to review. We refine together until the design is right. Revisions are part of the process, not an extra charge.
Production
Once the design is approved, each piece is CNC-fabricated and hand-finished in our Vancouver studio. We manage quality control throughout production and keep you updated on progress.
Delivery
Finished pieces are carefully packaged and shipped directly to your course, ready for placement. We provide care guidance so every piece maintains its finish season after season.
A conversation, not a specification sheet.
You do not need a detailed brief or production-ready artwork to get started.
Most commissions begin with a conversation about the course: its character, its landscape, what the membership values. We handle the design side. Your role is to share context about the course and tell us what matters to your members.
If you have brand guidelines, a logo file, or reference photos of the property, those help. But they are not prerequisites. Some courses come to us with a clear vision, others start with nothing more than a phone call. We work with both.
- Helpful to have
- Course logo or crest (vector format if available). Brand guidelines or colour palette. Photos of the property or existing signage.
- Good to know
- Number of holes or tee boxes. Types of markers needed (tee markers, yardage, plaques, signage). Any course-specific requirements for size, durability, or mounting.
- Not required
- Detailed specifications, production drawings, or material selections. That is our job. We guide the design process from consultation through to finished product.
Everything. That is the point.
Start with one of our existing designs and customize it for your course, or commission something entirely new. Both paths lead to the same place: pieces designed for your property.
Shape, size, material, finish, colour, logo placement, typography. It is all open. We work with you to design pieces that reflect your course identity and meet your operational requirements. If you want something we have not made before, that is not a problem. That is how we work.
- Materials
- Locally sourced hardwoods, mixed-media elements, metal inlays, epoxy finishes. Material selection is guided by aesthetics, durability, and the conditions on your course.
- Form + dimensions
- Shape, profile, and size are designed to suit your course. No fixed moulds or catalogue forms.
- Branding
- Course logo, crest, name, or custom typography. Integrated into the design as engraving, inlay, or mixed-media application.
- Finish
- Hand-applied finishes selected for appearance and longevity. Options range from natural oils to marine-grade coatings depending on climate and exposure.
